These are troubleshoots steps if Tracker Touch is not connecting to the database at startup:


  • Check the connection string in the config file
  • Verify pinging the server by IP address or host name
  • Verify SQL Server service is running on server
  • Verify SQL Browser service is running on server
  • Verify TCP/IP protocol is enabled for the SQL server instance SQLEXPRESS
  • Check that Windows Firewall is off on the server
